1) Explain the function of each item and why you think the producer decided to put it at the time, and did you agree?

I think it was good of the producer to break up the interviews and news slightly with music so that it didn't become too tedious for the viewer, despite the fact its a discussion format of station.

2) Who do you think make up the BBC Nottingham's audience at that time?

- People who are driving home from work as there is traffic updates every 15 mins due to it being rush hour
- Mainly middle aged listeners

3) How does Alan tailor his presentation for that audience?

He adds humour to his talks and a variety in topics which will interest the reader more than there being a report on one thing for an hour full stop. The humour through is limited but is there, which will attract all but more specifically the younger listeners of the station. The topics such as the cases for example the Philpot sentance will intrest people who are within that local area and who are really concerned about the welfare of others and theirselves. This will mainly tailor to parents and middle age listeners. Another topic that could attract the youthful and middle age is the in depth discussion on sports with players and captain interviews. These mainly appeals to males as there only focused on male rugby and football team reports.

4) Did you notice anything that didn't go according to plan?

There was a part during the news where they played the wrong report from someone so moved straight on to the weather.

5) Is there anything you would change?

I would add more reports that would attract female listeners, and add female team reports on sports as well as just the male team reports.
